About The Position

The Biotech Associate works on the biotechnology investment team, analyzing preclinical and clinical data across therapeutic areas, assessing market potential, and developing financial models. The role involves interactions with company management teams, domain experts, and attendance at medical conferences. The associate is expected to provide investment insights and contribute to the investment process for public and private biotechnology companies, while learning directly from senior investment professionals. Exceptional performers may have the opportunity to advance to Equity Research Analyst. The role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to one day per week from home. Base salary ranges from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on location, relevant experience, and skills. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.

Requirements

• Strong academic background and intellectual curiosity.
• Ph.D. or M.D. with scientific research experience.
• Highly motivated, confident self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of fundamental drug development research and preclinical and clinical data analysis.
• Basic understanding of financial modeling.
