Biomed Specialist

Hema-Tec•Clawson, MI

About The Position

The Biomed Specialist serves as a link between Hema-Tec’s office logistics and field operations, supporting teams that provide dialysis services. The position is based primarily in the Clawson, Michigan office and warehouse, with infrequent travel for new territory implementation and short projects at existing hospitals. The role coordinates company supply orders, manages parts within approved purchasing authority, and oversees receiving, storage, distribution, and accurate records in UpKeep. It also supports field biomeds after training and competency confirmation, including vacation coverage and facility assignments as the service area grows. Technical work must remain within demonstrated competence, and a qualified, authorized technician must verify required services before equipment is returned to use. The Biomed Specialist compiles and checks water-quality reports, tracks missing results, coordinates follow-ups under established procedures, and sees office or warehouse facility issues through to resolution with vendors. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, on a day shift from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and reports directly to the Biomed Manager. Hema-Tec describes itself as a family-owned, mission-driven company and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
