About The Position

The Biomed Tech maintains, operates, tests, inspects, performs preventive maintenance on, and repairs a broad range of basic clinical equipment, technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. The role supports patient safety equipment, maintains equipment records, responds to work requests, and helps manage equipment parts and purchasing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in a biomedical electronics repair shop, or two years of general maintenance experience with a diversified range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or military training.
• Certificate of training from a technical school in biomedical electronics.
• CBET certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, test, inspect, perform preventive maintenance on, and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam equipment.
• Operate patient safety equipment and understand recorded data.
• Maintain equipment records and files.
• Answer, transfer, pick up, and respond to incoming telephone and electronic mail work request calls.
• Prepare purchase orders and restock parts.
• Perform related duties as required.
