About The Position
The Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) assists the instructor with the preparation and operation of laboratory classes, whether in-person or virtual. The TA2 provides instruction during the laboratory and may be called upon to assist with grading of laboratory assignments/quizzes and other clerical work related to the laboratory class experience. The TA2 must be able to work a laboratory section for the full duration of the class lab, including time for preparations, meetings with the instructor or lead TA, grading, and other operational activities related to the running of the lab and lecture. This position requires the applicant to be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 quarter. Further details about this position may be requested from [email protected]. Requirements
- Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 quarter.
- Must have taken and passed the course they would TA for with a grade of 'B' or higher.
- Must have taken BIOL131/L within the last 4 years and passed with a grade of B or higher, or been a previous TA2 for this course in the last 4 years.
- Must be able to start work on or before the required start date of September 21.

- Previous TA2 experience for BIOL131/L within the last 4 years.
Responsibilities
