Biology Expert
About The Position
This fully remote contract role is for PhDs pursuing or holding a degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Biology experts help fine-tune large language models by designing biology problems, evaluating AI responses, and collaborating with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate- to PhD-level biology topics. No AI experience is required. Assignments have defined start and end dates and may be up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $100+ per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates complete an evaluation before selection.
Requirements
- PhD, either in progress or completed, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong biology reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design advanced biology questions to test AI performance.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions using rigorous logic.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate- to PhD-level biology topics.
