About The Position

This is a full-time, entry-level position for a Bindery Apprentice in Nashville, TN. The role involves assisting in the setup and operation of bindery equipment, learning to read and follow job tickets for accurate work completion, and performing quality checks on finished materials. The apprentice will support experienced operators, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with other teams to meet production deadlines. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and operate industrial bindery equipment
• Willingness to be trained on multiple bindery machines and finishing processes
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions from job tickets
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and regularly bend, twist, reach, and stand throughout the workday
• Reliable attendance with flexibility to work overtime as required

Nice To Haves

• Prior printing or bindery experience a plus, but not required (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, and related finishing devices
• Learn to read and follow job ticket instructions to ensure work is completed accurately to specifications
• Perform quality checks on finished materials to verify trim, fold, and stitch accuracy
• Support experienced bindery operators with make-ready, adjustments, and changeovers
• Stack, bundle, and move printed materials through the bindery workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bindery work area
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical or production issues and escalate when necessary
• Work collaboratively with press, bindery, and shipping teams to meet production deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production schedules
