About The Position

We are seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals to join the bindery and finishing department. The Bindery Operator learns to set up, operate, and monitor high-speed bindery equipment used to produce books, catalogs, and other printed materials. Previous bindery experience is required. Training will be provided for candidates with machine operating experience, mechanical ability, and a strong willingness to learn. The position offers hands-on work and an opportunity to build a stable, long-term career in commercial printing and bindery operations.

Requirements

• Previous bindery experience is required.
• Previous experience operating machinery in printing, manufacturing, warehousing, or a related environment is preferred.
• Mechanical ability and comfort using basic tools.
• Ability to follow job instructions and work with basic measurements and decimals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependability, safety awareness, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn multiple pieces of bindery and finishing equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Machine operating experience.
• Bindery, finishing, or commercial printing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders.
• Monitor equipment throughout production and make necessary adjustments.
• Complete machine changeovers and basic setups.
• Read job instructions, production specifications, and measurements.
• Inspect finished products for accurate cuts, folds, binding, counts, and overall quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment or production issues.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Work with other team members to meet daily production and quality goals.
• Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive prepared for each scheduled shift.
