About The Position

The Bin Runner is responsible for trained procedures to scan bins to and from packing, changing out scrap gaylords when full, and loading them into scrap trailers. The role also involves baling loose scrap and loading it into trailers, sorting out obvious nonconformities at the Team Leader’s discretion, and potentially being trained on basic machine or plant operations if time allows. Additionally, the Bin Runner will assist operators with machine set-up, perform general clean-up of the Bag Production area and machinery, keep trash emptied, and ensure work is performed in a safe manner. Maintaining knowledge in the QMS and ISO Standards, possessing a GUNG-HO attitude in support of Amcor’s vision, goals, and company culture, and following and encouraging GMP’s are also key aspects of the role. Ensuring safety is a priority by following all safety procedures is paramount.

Must be able to operate machinery and power lifts in a safe manner
Must report to work on time

Must return from breaks on time
Must follow all safety procedures

Must maintain knowledge in the QMS and ISO Standards

Responsibilities

Trained in proper procedure to scan bins to and from packing
Change-out scrap gaylords when full, load into scrap trailer.
Bale loose scrap and load into trailer
Sort out obvious nonconformities, at Team Leader’s discretion
If time allows, at Team Leader’s discretion, could be trained on basic machine or plant operations
Assist operators with machine set-up
General clean-up of Bag Production and machinery.
Keep trash emptied.
Follow rules to ensure work is performed in a safe manner
