About The Position

Athens Services is actively seeking passionate individuals to join our dynamic team, where you'll be the driving force behind welding repairs and fabrications for our solid waste container (dumpster) bodies. Your expertise will be the cornerstone in maintaining top-notch conditions for our containers and equipment. The Bin (Mig) Welder reports to the Bin Shop Supervisor. The Bin (Mig) Welder is personally responsible for welding repairs, and fabrication of new and/or replacement parts for solid waste container (dumpster) bodies.

Requirements

Skilled Welder
Welding repairs and fabrications for solid waste container (dumpster) bodies
Maintain top-notch conditions for containers and equipment
Operate manual and automated welding equipment
Repair welds, holes and metal parts on containers and equipment
Position parts using clamps and tack welds
Fabricate parts and/or components
Perform safety inspections and checks on containers and equipment
Ability to weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
Examine for successful welds for depth and penetration (i.e. bead size and other specifications)
Complete required paperwork associated with repairing containers and equipment; to include documentation of parts usage, and repair times.
Attendance and successful accomplishment of all safety and compliance training.

Responsibilities

Positions parts using clamps and tack welds.
Ability to fabricate parts and/or components relative to need or availability.
Performs safety inspections and checks on containers and equipment.
