Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team, mentoring staff, or taking initiative in a senior billing role
- Minimum 2 years of experience with medical billing, claim submission, and working with third-party payers
- Ability to analyze billing data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
Responsibilities
- Support the Billing team through providing training, guidance, and mentorship
- Conduct QA reviews to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with third-party payer requirements
- Manage billing for top accounts, ensuring timely and accurate claim submissions
- Oversee day-to-day billing operations, ensuring team members complete tasks efficiently
- Assist with billing discrepancies, claim denials, and corrections to maintain high clean-claims rates
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and suggest workflow improvements
- Coordinate with internal teams to standardize billing practices and resolve issues
- Escalate complex billing issues to the Billing Manager when needed
- Support billing audits and internal quality control measures
- Other duties as assigned
