Billing & Settlements Operation Specialist
About The Position

Our offices and facilities are located in New Jersey, Texas, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Launched in 1927 when Fred J. Hermann Services is looking for a full time Freight Billing Analyst to join our company located in Houston, Texas. Position Description: The Freight Billing Analyst is accountable for creating invoices, issuing them to customers by various electronic means, and updating customer files.
Requirements
- Must be detail oriented
- Excellent data entry skills including alpha-numeric and 10-key
- A minimum of 2 years experience
- Knowledge of Seafreight/Drayage invoicing a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office Products
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous background knowledge of trucking industry a plus
- TMW, Mcleod and Great Plains experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Issue invoices to customers (paper, email, web portal and/ or EDI)
- Work with operations staff to obtain all required delivery documentation
- Confirm entered data from customer requirements documentation
- Organize and categorize billing documents
- Respond to customer and employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Update the customer master file with contact information
- Work with Accounts Receivable Specialist to research any short paid invoices
- Positively promotes Hermann Services to existing and potential employees and customers
- Perform other A/R and administrative duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Other Duties as assigned
