About The Position
The Billing Relations Specialist I provides customer service to patients regarding internal and external payment plan processes. The role serves as a point of contact for patients and payment plan vendors, helping ensure questions are addressed, payment options are clearly communicated, and accounts are managed accurately and efficiently. The position is hybrid remote, with training required onsite, and follows a Monday–Friday day shift.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or GED.
- Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients regarding internal and external payment plan processes.
- Communicate daily with patients and payment plan companies to support account resolution.
- Assist patients in understanding payment options and resolving billing-related inquiries.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up related to payment plan interactions.
