Skills on the Hill is a pediatric therapy practice with locations in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA that specializes in supporting and empowering children and families to climb to their fullest potential. We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to work as a part of our stellar administrative team, specifically our Revenue Cycle Manager, Benefits Assistant, and our On-Site Team (Administrative Manger and Office Coordinators). This is not a "post claims and clock out" job. We're looking for one person — a real one — who knows that great billing is part detective work, part diplomacy, and part stubborn refusal to let dollars slip through the cracks. If chasing down a payer for the third time makes you smile because you know you're going to win, keep reading. Skills on the Hill (SOTH) is a pediatric therapy practice with offices in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA. We provide occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy to children and families who deserve our absolute best — every single day. Behind every clean claim and accurate balance is a kid getting the services they need. We take that seriously, and we have fun doing it. Our team is energetic, dynamic, and high-accountability. We value integrity, teamwork, flexibility, problem-solving, and the kind of grit that doesn't quit when something gets hard. The unicorn. The one who: Owns problems all the way to resolution — not "I sent the email," but "I sent the email, then called, then escalated, then got it done." Follows up like a pro — professional, persistent, never apologetic about asking for what we're owed. Thrives in remote work — self-managed, organized, communicative, doesn't need someone watching to stay on task. Loves a clean account — accuracy, attention to detail, and quiet satisfaction when the AR shrinks. Asks "why?" and brings ideas — not waiting to be told. In the spirit of saving us both time: If you describe yourself as "not a phone person" — this isn't your role. If you avoid hard conversations or shrink under pushback — this isn't your role. If you need to be told the same thing twice — this isn't your role. If "I followed up once and didn't hear back" feels like a complete sentence — this really isn't your role.
