About The Position

Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario Pullman Shared Services team is growing! If you are an analytical and collaborative professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Project Accountant is located in Scarborough and typically reports directly to the Regional Controller. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Compare actuals to budget and forecasted costs, update monthly and quarterly job reports. Review and assist with the reconciliation of purchase orders. Assist with monthly job forecast updates and entering productivity data. Code and reconcile payments within JD Edwards. Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices, follow up on client approvals. Prepare documentation to support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities. Demonstrate a self-starting approach with a high level of accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1–3 years’ experience in billing, project accounting, or similar accounting roles.
Basic understanding of end-to-end financial processes
Advanced Excel skills is essential
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with JD Edwards is considered an asset
