About The Position

EAC Network is seeking a part-time Bilingual Visit Specialist for its Nassau Supervised Visitation program. The Visit Specialist facilitates and supervises scheduled, office-based visitations, closely monitors sessions, reports observations to a Supervisor, and documents visits in case files. The role is based at 175 Fulton Ave, 4th Floor, Hempstead, New York. The schedule is 18 hours per week: Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30–8:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 or 2:30 p.m. The wage is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or educational equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability required.
• Ability to contain volatile emergency situations in the office and immediately report them to the Supervisor.
• Proficiency with computer applications or automated systems, including spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendars, email, and/or database software needed to perform work assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be present during visitation sessions and closely monitor them at all times.
• Conduct office-based supervised visitation sessions.
• Report observations of sessions to the Supervisor and document visits in case files.
• Ensure program policies and procedures are followed during visits according to the Conditions for Participation form.
• Testify in court if served with a subpoena.
• Assist with childcare when necessary.
• Work evenings and weekends as required.
• Monitor the cleanliness of visitation rooms.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings, conferences, and training.
• Review previous progress notes before each visit.
• Provide 24–48 hours’ notice if unable to work a scheduled shift.
• Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by Supervision or EAC Administration.
