About The Position
Compass Family Services is a non-profit organization with over 100 years of experience dedicated to assisting families facing homelessness in San Francisco. The C-Work team, a part of Compass, focuses on empowering families by removing employment barriers, enhancing job readiness, facilitating enrollment in job training programs, and securing high-quality employment. This specific role is within a C-Work program aimed at helping individuals begin careers in Early Childhood Education. Participants in this program will enroll in Early Childhood courses at community colleges, engage in paid internships at local childcare centers and preschools, and ultimately secure employment in the field. The Bilingual Training Coordinator will provide crucial support to participants throughout their enrollment, education, and training journey.
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish AND English required.
- Deep understanding of issues facing homeless and at-risk families, and trauma-informed care.
- Proficiency with computer programs, including Word/Excel/Outlook; Salesforce a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work.
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience in Workforce Development and/or Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive outreach in the community to promote the program and enroll participants.
- Support participants throughout their time in the program.
- Assist with program and class enrollment, and troubleshoot any arising issues.
- Run a peer support group for program participants.
- Maintain partnerships with early childhood education centers, education programs, and other relevant entities.
- Maintain up-to-date participant files and enter data into the Salesforce database.
