About The Position

The Bilingual Medical Assistant supports clinicians during medical evaluations and helps patients communicate comfortably in English and Spanish. The role is based in Albany, NY, with occasional travel to the Poughkeepsie site. The schedule rotates between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM and includes occasional Saturdays.

The IMA Group’s Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies by providing medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services. Its Payer Services Division provides evaluation and screening services to carriers, TPAs, public entities, and employers, including behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services. Its Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas through a nationwide network of sites and virtual capabilities.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to connect easily with people.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
• Reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a medical assistant program is preferred.
• Medical assistant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support clinicians during medical evaluations.
• Take patients’ vital signs and medical histories.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other clinical tests.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment is ready.
• Help patients understand and communicate in English and Spanish.
