About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking a compassionate, dependable Medical Assistant to join its Albany team. The role supports clinicians in delivering medical evaluations and helps provide a positive experience for patients. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with a full benefits package from day one.

The position has rotating hours between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays and no on-call duties. The Medical Assistant may be asked to travel to the Poughkeepsie location at times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, detail-oriented approach.
• Flexibility and excellent attendance.
• Willingness to travel to the Poughkeepsie location at times.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support providers during patient evaluations and exams.
• Take vital signs and medical histories to prepare patients.
• Perform clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Maintain medical records and respond to patient inquiries.
• Keep equipment and supplies organized and stocked.
