About The Position

A major global financial institution in New York is seeking a Japanese-English Bilingual Client Onboarding & Compliance Analyst to support its corporate banking clients. This is a client-facing position serving as a liaison between Japanese corporate clients, relationship managers, and internal KYC/compliance teams. Prior banking experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong bilingual communication, client service, operations, or administrative experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Fluent Japanese and English (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
  • 1+ year of professional experience.
  • Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. No visa sponsorship is available.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior banking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with strong bilingual communication, client service, operations, or administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Banking, financial services, KYC/AML, client service, operations, or administrative experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of KYC/AML, CIP, CDD, EDD, OFAC, or FinCEN requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding of new corporate clients and ongoing KYC reviews.
  • Collect and review corporate documents, ownership information, identification documents, and other required materials.
  • Communicate documentation and compliance requirements clearly to Japanese corporate clients in both Japanese and English.
  • Coordinate with relationship managers, compliance teams, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation and manage multiple cases to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and update client information in internal systems.
  • Respond to client inquiries and help resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Assist with process improvement and other departmental projects.
