About The Position
The Bilingual Instructional Assistant Pashto will support students at Dyer-Kelly School. This is a permanent, part-time position with benefits included. The role involves working with groups of children and requires fluency in English and Pashto. The length of the work year is 9 months/year, 206 days/year, and the length of the work day is 6 hours, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:10 PM. The salary range is $18.65 - $23.28 per hour.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Pashto.
- Previous experience working with groups of children.
- Attach High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attach one of the following: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If foreign degree/transcripts, must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).
