About The Position

This posting is for a Job Fair/ Job Fair Attendee Pool for an Instructional Assistant II position. The role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education, and supporting the teacher's needs. Candidates should have any combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire is required.

Requirements

Must have SJUSD IA Proficiency exam completed and attached to application
List on application experience that is relevant to this position
Any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) OR Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher) for Title I Sites
High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list: [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) for Non-Title Sites
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
