About The Position

The Bilingual Instructional Assistant Farsi at Greer School will provide support to students and staff, requiring fluency in both English and Farsi. The role involves working with groups of children and assisting in educational activities. Candidates must be fluent in English and Farsi, and will undergo a bilingual language testing appointment. Previous experience working with groups of children is required, and higher education is desirable.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Farsi.
• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One documentation from the following list: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
• If foreign degree/transcripts, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited institution.
• Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).

• Salary: $18.65 - $23.28 per hour

• 18A, 18B, or 18C Calendar (9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week)
• 8 hours per day
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
