About The Position
The Bilingual Instructional Assistant - Dari position at Arcade Middle School is a part-time, permanent role within the Support Staff & Services category, specifically for Instructional Support. The role requires fluency in English and Dari, and the assistant will work with groups of children. The position is for 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:46 PM. The length of the work year is 9 months, consisting of 206 days per year.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Dari.
- Previous experience working with groups of children/students.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following documentation: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If foreign degree/transcripts, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited institution.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).
