About The Position

The Bilingual Field Store Associate drives and increases sales at Lowe’s stores by engaging customers in the Paint and Pro departments, generating leads, implementing sales and marketing programs, providing customer service, and managing merchandising. The position supports customer satisfaction, stays current on product features, and maintains product quality and visual standards. The associate will work at Lowe’s Store #2623, 10101 Southpoint Pkwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. This is a part-time role with weekday, afternoon, and weekend hours; scheduling is based on business needs and may change. The job involves customer contact, potentially including minors, and access to cash and payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. A criminal-history review is required to help protect the company, its operations and reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship for an employment work visa.
Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent sales service and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Assist customers in person by identifying their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
Build productive relationships and trust with wholesale and retail customers.
Maintain Pro customer color files.
Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
Maintain store appearance and inventory best practices, including the color wall and back stock.
Maintain product knowledge to provide effective customer recommendations.
Facilitate in-person customer connections between the Paint and Pro desks.
Provide in-store Pro Desk paint support for real-time customer needs, Lowe’s Pro Sales, and paint program execution, including promotional events.
Promote and represent Sherwin-Williams and Valspar brand standards and product strengths to Lowe’s associates, customers, and contractors.
Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Assist Sales Representatives in generating sales leads by interacting with customers.
Train Lowe’s associates on product knowledge and application methods.
Complete eLearning modules.
Keep HR Cloud training current and compliant.
