About The Position

Eliot is seeking Bilingual Family Support Specialists for its Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) division. The role works with the Healthy Families parenting education program, which supports young, first-time parents in creating a stable, nurturing environment for their child. Specialists provide personalized guidance and support in families’ homes, teaching about pregnancy, baby care, nurturing and attachment, effective parenting skills, and healthy child development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Educate parents on optimal health, growth, and development during infancy and early childhood.
• Encourage positive parenting skills, enhance parental health and wellness, and improve educational attainment.
• Assist parents in setting and achieving goals related to education, work, and housing.
• Connect families with community resources, including educational, employment, financial, housing, and medical services.
• Encourage co-parent involvement in program groups and activities.
