About The Position

Eliot is seeking Bilingual Family Support Specialists for its Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) division. The role supports the Healthy Families program, a parenting education initiative for young, first-time parents. Specialists provide personalized guidance in families’ homes to help parents create stable, nurturing environments for their children. Support includes education about pregnancy, baby care, nurturing and attachment, parenting skills, and healthy child development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Educate parents about optimal health, growth, and development during infancy and early childhood.
• Encourage positive parenting skills and support parental health, wellness, and educational attainment.
• Help parents set and achieve goals related to education, work, and housing.
• Connect families with community resources, including educational, employment, financial, housing, and medical services.
• Encourage co-parent involvement in program groups and activities.
