About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bilingual Elementary Teacher (Spanish) to join our team on a temporary basis through the end of the 2025–2026 school year (June 2026). The ideal candidate will provide instruction in both English and Spanish, support multilingual learners, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Valid NJ DOE Instructional Certificate (Elementary K–6 or appropriate subject area)
• Valid NJ DOE Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement (Spanish)
• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Strong knowledge of classroom management and instructional best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Elementary School K–6 or equivalent)
• A Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish

Nice To Haves

• Previous K–12 teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in English and Spanish
• Develop lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards
• Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through bilingual instruction
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Prepare instructional materials and assign classwork/homework
• Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration
• Communicate with families regarding student performance
• Document and report behavioral or academic concerns
