This role is responsible for order taking, scheduling, dispatching, and customer relations. The individual will maintain efficient delivery controls through proper scheduling and accurate order entry into the dispatch system. They will monitor external factors such as weather and traffic to ensure optimized routing of resources, resolve transportation conflicts, and handle unusual and difficult customer complaints. The position also involves providing customer support to ensure maximum satisfaction, employing problem-solving techniques to resolve complex issues, and developing professional criteria for engaging other parties. The role requires strong communication skills with customers and other departments, the ability to handle over 100 calls in a shift, work effectively in a team setting, and successfully complete daily workloads in a timely fashion. Maintaining good working relationships with coworkers and outside agencies' personnel, and working safely with a sense of urgency are also key aspects of this position.
