As a Bilingual Disability Operations Consultant, you will be responsible for growing and developing relationships and program management for active corporate Disability Management accounts. You will be a senior member of the disability team, working directly with clients to identify trends, implement, and support solutions for their disability management programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in disability
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise regarding disability case management practices and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed analytical, organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate issues from a strategic perspective
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal & external partners
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong project management skills
  • Bilingualism English/French: Proficient in French is required to perform the duties of this role

  • Insurance designation (LOMA or other) will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge as a senior team member of Disability Operations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales, Underwriting, and Disability Claims teams to identify disability program issues, assess operational impacts, and develop effective solutions.
  • Work closely with Disability Operations teams to deliver timely, responsive, and client-focused service.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with select employers to support satisfaction with disability management services and achieve improved program outcomes.
  • Review and evaluate Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and contract deviations, providing subject matter expertise to ensure proposed solutions align with operational capabilities, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, and participation in disability proposals, finalist presentations, and client consultations.
  • Manage the implementation of disability programs for new clients, including active participation in implementation meetings, development of project timelines, coordination of key activities, and education of claims staff regarding client-specific requirements, culture, and expectations.
  • Take a proactive and strategic approach to supporting employers through analysis, reporting, and resolution of issues related to their disability plan experience.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, improve client outcomes, and support retention and growth of disability business.
