About The Position

Float is looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join their growing sales team. This role is pivotal in driving revenue as Float moves upmarket. The ideal candidate will have proven experience driving revenue in past sales roles and will employ a consultative, cooperative, and solution-oriented strategy, blending strategic insight with highly efficient execution. This is a remote role based in Quebec, with occasional travel to the Toronto office for team gatherings and key meetings.

Requirements

  • Bilingual: Fluent in both French and English — written and spoken.
  • 2–4 years of B2B tech-sales experience, ideally in a high-growth start-up environment.
  • Understanding of the market: experience with accounting/finance related products, or worked closely with finance leaders.
  • Commercially minded, business savvy, and ROI mindset.
  • Reputation for exceeding goals and sales targets, motivated by new challenges.
  • Willingness to make tough decisions to achieve broader business goals and outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication skills: ability to cater communication to the audience, gain buy-in, and build commitment.
  • Confident, clear, and organized in pitching ideas.
  • Impeccable writing and speaking skills.
  • Ability to effortlessly connect with any team in an organization.
  • Empathetic and approachable: quickly build rapport and credibility with prospective customers.
  • Skilled listener able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.

Responsibilities

  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to close, focusing on adding value and providing strategic advice.
  • Acquire and form relationships with new customers in the mid-market range (20–500+ employees).
  • Pursue both individual and team sales goals and consistently hit monthly targets.
  • Prioritize and maintain pipelines while owning the sales cycle from start to finish — from discovery to demo to negotiation to close.
  • Approach all deals with a customer-obsessed mentality, developing relationships and uncovering the needs of multiple key stakeholders to find value moments.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
  • Provide feedback from the market to drive product innovation and improvement.
  • Share ideas and help build a world-class Sales team.
  • Work with the Finance teams of some of the fastest growing companies in Canada across a variety of industries.
