Remote | BigLaw lawyers (Litigation/Corporate/M&A) — $140–$400/hour
About The Position
This is a fully remote independent consulting engagement for experienced BigLaw lawyers to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and evaluation project. The work draws on experience in litigation, corporate law, M&A, legal analysis, research, drafting, content review, and quality assurance. Consultants will analyse legal issues, research U.S. law, draft and review legal materials, and provide structured feedback on complex legal content. Prior AI experience is not required. The engagement requires current or prior experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms. An active licence to practise law is strongly preferred. Workload, project scope, subject matter, and evaluation standards may change with project needs. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party. The opportunity is offered through 24-MAG LLC, which connects professionals with remote consulting and project-based work.
Requirements
- Current or prior experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms; this is mandatory.
- Experience handling sophisticated or high-stakes litigation, corporate, M&A, or related matters.
- Demonstrated ability in legal analysis, legal research, and legal drafting.
- Strong experience reviewing and editing complex legal content.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to legal accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and multidisciplinary environments.
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party.

Responsibilities
- Conduct legal analysis across U.S. law topics and perform in-depth legal research for complex project requirements.
- Identify relevant legal principles, authorities, and practical considerations, and ensure analysis is accurate and appropriately current.
- Draft, review, and edit legal memoranda, opinions, contracts, and related documents to professional legal-writing standards.
- Improve legal content for clarity, structure, precision, and analytical quality; identify weaknesses in reasoning, drafting, and issue spotting.
- Review litigation, corporate, and M&A materials and analyse complex factual and legal scenarios.
- Identify material legal risks, inconsistencies, and missing considerations, applying practical judgment from sophisticated legal practice.
- Evaluate legal texts for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with best practices; identify errors, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and unsupported conclusions.
- Provide structured feedback on legal reasoning and written work, and apply consistent quality standards across review tasks.
- Collaborate remotely with legal, research, product, and technical contributors; participate in multidisciplinary reviews and communicate legal concepts clearly.
- Incorporate feedback across iterative project cycles and contribute to distributed project workflows and quality standards.
