About The Position

The Big Ticket Order Picker Operator is responsible for timely and accurate picking and put-away of furniture and bedding merchandise into warehouse bin locations using radio frequency (RF) equipment. The role uses an order picker, such as a cherry picker, high bay, or order selector, which can raise the operator up to 30 feet. Operators need good time management, attention to detail, awareness, caution, and communication skills. Accuracy and productivity are monitored against company and departmental KPIs, and colleagues are encouraged to identify improvements. The position is based in a warehouse environment that may include loud noises from forklifts and conveyors. It involves handling and moving furniture and bedding, using RF equipment and powered machinery, following safety procedures, and meeting performance goals. The job description notes that it is not all-inclusive and may not apply to colleagues covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
