About The Position

NW Service Enterprises, Inc. (NWS) Professional Assembly is hiring part-time Bicycle Assembly Technicians to work on-site at local retail stores, including Walmart and Kroger. Technicians assemble merchandise and displays, including bicycles, toys, barbecues, and furniture. Available work is seasonal and fluctuates throughout the year, with demand typically increasing from spring through summer and during the holidays. Scheduling is flexible, and the amount of work available may vary. After training, compensation transitions to a piece-rate system. New technicians typically average $15 to $25 per hour, while experienced technicians may average more than $30 per hour depending on productivity. Earnings will not fall below the local minimum wage. This hands-on role suits people who enjoy mechanical work, physical activity, and working independently. The job requires sustained physical activity, prolonged standing, repetitive hand and arm motions, and maintaining a steady pace.

Requirements

Availability for day shifts or early mornings.
Self-motivation and ability to work hard with minimal supervision.
Mechanical aptitude and practical handiness.
Basic hand tools and a cordless screw gun or impact driver.
A smartphone and email address.
Internet access through a smartphone or mobile device.
Ability to pass a background test.
Ability to pass a drug test.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

Assemble and repair products and merchandise using manufacturer instructions and following retailer rules and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Check in with retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
Generate and complete invoices daily.
Report and communicate effectively with the Area Manager.
Maintain a safe, clean workspace and leave clients with a clean build area.
Perform other responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook.
