About The Position

NW Service Enterprises, Inc. (NWS) Professional Assembly is hiring part-time Bicycle Assembly Technicians to work on-site at local retail stores, including Walmart and Kroger. Technicians assemble and repair bicycles and other merchandise and displays, such as toys, barbecues, and furniture. Available work is seasonal and varies throughout the year, with more work in spring and summer and during the holidays. Flexible scheduling is offered. After training, compensation transitions to a per-piece rate. New technicians typically average $16–$25 per hour, while experienced technicians may average more than $30 per hour depending on productivity. Earnings will not be less than the local minimum wage. The role suits people who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, physical activity, and working independently. Training is provided; previous experience is a plus.

Requirements

Be available for day shifts or early mornings.
Be self-motivated and able to work hard with minimal supervision.
Have mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on skills.
Have basic hand tools and a cordless screw gun or impact driver.
Have a smartphone and email address.
Have internet access via a smartphone or mobile device.
Pass a background test.
Pass a drug test.
Be at least 18 years old.
Have reliable transportation.
Be capable of working on your feet for extended periods.
Be able to kneel, bend, twist, and repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

Assemble and repair products and merchandise using manufacturer instructions and following retailer rules and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Check in with retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
Generate and complete invoices daily.
Report and communicate effectively with the Area Manager.
Maintain a safe, clean workspace and leave clients with a clean build area.
Perform other responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook.
