About The Position

The BI Tools Product Manager works on Schwab’s Enterprise Analytics team to maximize the value, adoption, and user experience of enterprise business intelligence platforms, including Tableau and Power BI. The role leads license and access management, strengthens governance, and uses data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. It focuses on BI platform support, access management, process improvement, user enablement, and stakeholder partnership rather than directly developing dashboards or reports. The position collaborates with business, product, platform, Data Education, and technology teams to address user needs, translate feedback into platform priorities, and build an engaged BI community through support, learning, and knowledge sharing. It requires analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and adaptability to balance priorities and help users make more effective use of Schwab’s BI capabilities. The selected candidate is expected to work on site in the specified location(s). The role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities in addition to the salary range.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data platforms, or analytics operations.
Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI, with sufficient technical knowledge to engage with users regarding their needs.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use platform and usage data to identify trends, evaluate issues, and recommend actionable improvements.
Demonstrated communication and facilitation skills, including explaining technical concepts and working effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate across business and technology teams, including interaction with business partners through the Managing Director level.
Experience working with data and analytics developers to identify underlying business needs beyond initial requests and establish requirements, priorities, and timelines for reporting tools.
Ability to lead user communities and support initiatives, and connect feedback to improvements in tools, services, or user experience.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing user access, licenses, or tool administration and applying disciplined access management and governance practices.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot to improve process efficiency.
Priority management and adaptability, including focusing on high-impact work and pivoting as business needs change.
Knowledge of brokerage, financial services, banking, and/or Schwab’s business environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and triage high-volume BI licensing, system access, and data access requests.
Evaluate access and licensing processes to identify ways to reduce manual effort, simplify approvals, and improve efficiency.
Identify and implement automation opportunities, including exploring Copilot and other AI capabilities for process improvement.
Coordinate BI office hours, demonstrations, and user forums for questions, best-practice sharing, and support.
Build engagement across the BI user community by connecting users with appropriate resources, education, and support.
Partner with BI product owners and other Schwab Data teams to capture user feedback and communicate needs, challenges, and enhancement opportunities for platform roadmaps and scalable user support.
Collaborate with Data University and the Data Help Desk to ensure users can access relevant education and learning resources.
Help organize and maintain a centralized SharePoint resource hub for BI access information, development resources, training, and support.
Connect BI users with product owners, training resources, and support teams to help create a more seamless and consistent BI experience.
