About The Position

Capstone IT is helping its client hire a Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer & Analyst for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity onsite in Omaha, Nebraska. The role designs, develops, and maintains Power BI reporting solutions to support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making. The analyst will work directly with business stakeholders and use Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling to deliver reporting and analytics. The position supports enterprise reporting through dashboards, reports, scorecards, paginated reports, data models, and reporting administration. It also involves analyzing business data, ensuring data accuracy, collaborating with data engineering teams, and helping stakeholders use reporting solutions. Candidates must meet the end client's work authorization requirements: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. C2C, subcontractors, and third-party candidates are not accepted.

Requirements

Experience supporting ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Builder.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M Language), SQL, and data modeling.
Experience with paginated reports, row-level security (RLS), and Power BI administration.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field of study.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Power BI development and business analytics.
Minimum 2 years of experience developing enterprise reporting solutions.
Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with business stakeholders.
U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status, per end client requirements.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Lake.

Python or R.
SAP S/4HANA reporting.
Git, Azure DevOps, or similar source control tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and paginated reports.
Build and optimize data models, DAX measures, KPIs, and Power Query transformations.
Manage Power BI Service workspaces, refresh schedules, security, and deployment pipelines.
Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
Perform root cause analysis, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
Partner with finance, operations, HR, and other departments to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity while supporting data governance initiatives.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to resolve reporting issues and improve data sources.
Present findings to stakeholders and support user acceptance testing, training, and documentation.
Identify opportunities for reporting automation, standardization, and Microsoft Fabric adoption.
