About The Position

Requirements

  • Bi-Lingual
  • College degree with one year of experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents in a supportive and nurturing manner

Responsibilities

  • Assisting behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents
  • Implementing individualized service plans
  • Providing behavioral interventions in home and community settings
  • Actively managing youth with behavioral challenges
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Developing and initiating safety standards
  • Instructing youth on positive behavioral practices
  • Monitoring and documenting observations of youth behavior
  • Making necessary modifications to daily activities that align with therapeutic goals
  • Developing and implementing engaging recreational activities that support the emotional and social growth of the youth
  • Ensuring a clean and secure environment to thrive in
