Requirements

Bi-Lingual
College degree with one year of experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents in a supportive and nurturing manner

Responsibilities

Assisting behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents
Implementing individualized service plans
Providing behavioral interventions in home and community settings
Actively managing youth with behavioral challenges
Ensuring a safe and supportive environment
Developing and initiating safety standards
Instructing youth on positive behavioral practices
Monitoring and documenting observations of youth behavior
Making necessary modifications to daily activities that align with therapeutic goals
Developing and implementing engaging recreational activities that support the emotional and social growth of the youth
