About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests in a casino bar setting. The server must ensure excellent customer service, adhere to all company policies and liquor laws, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to operate a point-of-sales system.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol.
  • Ability to check guest ID accurately.
  • Knowledge of company products.
  • Proficiency in operating a point-of-sales system.
  • Ability to maintain a balanced bank.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to keep workstations and casino floor areas stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
  • Ability to perform various service tasks including serving, greeting, bussing, running drinks, and side work.
  • Ability to communicate issues to management.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all food and beverage department rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Compliance with company attendance policy.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all state and local liquor laws.
  • Ability to report safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues.
  • Ability to meet and retain customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, treating guests and coworkers with respect.
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to specifications and serve them in an orderly and timely fashion.
  • Ensure guests are 21 or older before serving alcoholic beverages by accurately checking guest ID.
  • Be knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
  • Properly operate the point of sales system, account for all service items, and keep a balanced bank.
  • Understand that salesmanship and customer service are key to success.
  • Uphold great communication with guests, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations.
  • Set and keep workstations and casino floor areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
  • Serve drinks, greet guests, bus and run drinks, do side work, and perform other normal functions required to service guests.
  • Communicate all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management.
  • Know and comply with all rules, regulations, and policies of the food and beverage department.
  • Follow the company’s attendance policy and other rules and regulations.
  • Satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by departmental leaders.
  • Abide by all state and local liquor laws.
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and retained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
