About the position
The Benefits Sr Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day administration and support for all Poshmark’s benefits programs. They will provide support to employees and the HR team in interpreting plan provisions for benefits and leaves of absence. The role also involves ensuring compliance, employee communications, and timely audits of the company’s benefit programs. The Benefits Sr Specialist will work cross-functionally with various departments and maintain relationships with external benefits brokers. They will also assist in the implementation of the Workday project and provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Responsibilities
- Support the research, design, and execution of benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and ancillary benefits to attract and retain talent.
- Assist in the implementation and plan administration of Poshmark's benefits offerings.
- Provide support in all aspects of benefits and retirement plan administration, including answering employee inquiries, processing and auditing payroll related to benefits, assisting with open enrollment, entering data, developing communications, conducting presentations, and implementing company-wide benefit changes and/or new programs.
- Ensure programs are performance-driven, market competitive, legally compliant, consistent, accurately administered, and effectively communicated.
- Conduct new employee benefit orientation and serve as a point of contact for employees regarding company benefits.
- Plan and administer the annual open enrollment process, including working with Marketing on employee communications, updating benefit materials, plan rates, and the benefits enrollment system, and conducting group presentations to employees.
- Maintain the benefits online enrollment system, provide system training to employees, and handle any system-related issues or questions.
- Support and develop relationships with external benefits brokers.
- Administer and process all leave of absence requests (FMLA, disability, parental leave, vacation, etc.).
- Manage all benefit compliance requirements, including filing annual 5500s.
- Help in the implementation of the Workday project.
- Process invoices and premium statements for all benefit plans, review invoices for accuracy, submit payment requests, and resolve any discrepancies and administrative issues with carriers.
- Work on benefit programs such as wellness initiatives, recognition program, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Generate files and reports for benefits plans, annual audits, and other special and ad hoc reports as requested.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
- Understand and gain expertise in current US benefits offerings and processes.
- Support the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process.
- Understand and gain experience in current Global benefits offerings and processes.
- Help draft the global benefits strategy and roadmap.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in benefits administration.
- A deep understanding of healthcare, supplemental, retirement, and flex law regulation, compliance, and administration.
- Prior experience with Workday.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with various departments to understand business needs and develop suitable programs.
- Ability to develop and drive continuous process improvements.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on providing quality outcomes for internal and external clients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

- Salary Range: $88,500-$130,000 USD
