About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Benefits Plans Manager for the Office of Employee Benefits (OEB) in Newark, NJ. This role supports the mission of promoting the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy and financial system. The position requires onsite work and focuses on managing a team responsible for health and welfare benefits programs for employees, retirees, and dependents across the Federal Reserve System. This includes managing vendor relationships, service performance, researching best practices, performing benchmarking analysis, and evaluating emerging trends. The Benefits Plans Manager will oversee multiple programs and vendors, communicate with stakeholders, and lead a team in researching best practices, benchmarking, evaluating trends, and recommending benefits program strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Eight+ years of experience preferred
  • At least three years managing a team
  • Experienced and confident people leader, ideally having managed operational teams through change.
  • Experience driving an operational team toward streamlined processes, efficiency gains, measuring and improving outcomes and bringing procedural rigor through leadership to a team.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as coach and support to those accountable for vendor management responsibilities for System-wide benefits programs.
  • Ensures self and team maintain current knowledge of and relevant certifications in legal, regulatory, plan compliance and changes for System benefits.
  • Uses data to regularly recommend benefit plan strategies, evaluation of plan design changes, cost and participant impact.
  • Lead continuous improvement in process and identify policy enhancements and opportunities to offer appropriate benefits package to the Federal Reserve System.
  • Develop and lead presentations for oversight committees and Reserve Bank and Board of Governors stakeholders.
  • Lead high-visibility projects with measurable outcomes.
