About The Position

HRx Benefits is seeking a motivated and client-focused Benefits Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients by developing benefits strategies, managing renewals, analyzing plan performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service. You will also help grow the business through networking, referrals, and new client opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, consulting, brokerage, or account management.
  • Strong knowledge of group health, ancillary benefits, renewals, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured plans preferred.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms such as Ease or Employee Navigator.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Required to have an Active Colorado Life & Health License.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on employee benefits strategy, plan design, funding options, and long-term goals.
  • Lead renewals, client reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
  • Prepare and present financial analyses, including renewals, budgets, claims trends, and funding comparisons.
  • Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure competitive solutions.
  • Manage client service issues, including enrollments, claims, billing, and plan changes.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other regulations.
  • Build strong client relationships and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and community connections.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across additional product lines and services.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and benefits administration systems.
