About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom jewelry, depending on their current skillset. The team is dedicated to delivering a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is competitive and reflects the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. The role is based at the Tyrone Square location in St. Petersburg, Florida. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with varying hours that may include some nights and weekends, and seasonal required overtime.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Full-time work consists of a 40-hour work week with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.
• Experience with chain and clasp repair, re-tipping prongs, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, and CAD/CAM design work.

Responsibilities

• Repair jewelry, including chain and clasp repair, re-tipping prongs, minor ring repair, and other jewelry repairs.
• Set stones and create stone mountings.
• Perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Complete wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Design and create custom jewelry pieces, including CAD/CAM design work as applicable to current skillset.
• Restore jewelry to its original beauty and provide customer-first service for custom jewelry design and repairs.
