The Belt Technician’s primary responsibility is to fabricate an in tolerance finished conveyor belt in accordance to the order requirements and accepted processes/procedures as established by the company’s work instructions. A day in the life of a Belt Technician can look like becoming proficient in all processes and concepts as outlined for Belt Tech competencies and skill areas, observing and following safety and company policies, completing shop orders by the Production Priority Code system, completing assigned work without fabrication errors and in accordance with quality standards as well as customer specific requirements, performing necessary tasks in fulfilling work orders that achieve company goals in support of internal and external customers, quality and on-time delivery, performing regular housekeeping of the work station assigned, identifying unusual or uncommon fabrication instructions and clarifying with Team Lead, providing assistance as required in other areas as needed to support company and plant goals, assisting with belt installation at customers’ facilities on time and in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company policy and practices, completing any additional special assignments as assigned, and performing general belt fabrication including Cut To Length, Lacing, Finger Splicing and Slitting.
