This role involves installing new conveyor belts, changing out existing ones, repairing or splicing conveyor belts, pulley lagging/changing, and maintaining or changing mechanical systems that transfer conveyor belts. The technician will follow instructions from a Crew Leader or Project Manager, ensuring all aspects of the job are covered to avoid delays and that required training is completed. Safety is paramount, requiring the technician to ensure equipment is in proper working order, work areas are clean and free of hazards, and work is performed according to instructions to achieve quality and satisfaction. The role also includes inspecting customers' surrounding equipment to help prevent costly repairs and damage to new material.
