We are seeking an experienced Lead Belt Fabricator to join our team. What You'll Do As a Lead Belt Fabricator, you'll play a key role in supporting production operations while providing guidance and leadership to Belt Technicians. This position combines technical expertise, mentoring, and hands-on fabrication responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience such as Lead Technician, Crew Leader, Team Lead, or similar role.
  • Experience with conveyor belt fabrication and repair.
  • Field service or installation experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineered drawings.
  • Ability to accurately measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Build, repair, and fabricate conveyor belts and conveyor system components.
  • Install and vulcanize both lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting.
  • Lead daily production activities and assist in setting priorities for the team.
  • Train, coach, and support Belt Technicians to ensure quality workmanship and safety.
  • Research and develop improved fabrication techniques and processes.
  • Evaluate field installations and service work as needed.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
  • Maintain inventory and stock areas according to company standards.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and materials when necessary.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and workspaces are maintained safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and report defective equipment, materials, or unsafe conditions.
  • Serve as a role model for professional conduct, quality workmanship, and safety practices.
  • Provide support to the Belt Shop Manager and fill in as needed.
  • Consistently represent Belt Power professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
