About The Position

This position is responsible for placing aluminum slugs on a furnace belt. The role involves loading aluminum slugs into multiple furnaces according to work instructions, placing parts into tubs after the solution and forge process, and maintaining a clean work area. The employee will identify and report equipment or part issues to the supervisor, follow instructions, and maintain daily timekeeping. A key aspect of this role is actively participating in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment by following policies and procedures to reduce accidents and promote safer work behaviors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No experience needed
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to schedules
  • Ability to work safely and keep area clean
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and achieve intended objectives
  • Ability to work assigned shift and remain awake and alert during assigned shift is required
  • Reporting to work for assigned shift, maintaining a physical presence and performing assigned work for the duration of assigned shift is required
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Load aluminum slugs into multiple furnaces per work instructions
  • Load aluminum slugs onto belts in pattern provided in work instructions
  • Place parts into tub after solution & forge process is complete
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Identify issues with the equipment or parts and notify supervisor
  • Follow verbal/written instructions given by Supervisor
  • Report problems to Supervisor
  • Maintain daily timekeeping on the computer system
  • Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment
  • Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of work-related accidents
  • Provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions
