About The Position

The Loader position is responsible for loading assigned trailers in the sequence indicated by loading documents, checking store numbers and pieces, and scanning pallets and doors to track and verify loads. The role requires careful loading to prevent damage to product, pallets, or trailers, ensuring maximum accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include wrapping pallets for stability, operating industrial mobile equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and working safely and productively. Communication with supervision regarding any issues affecting the loading process is essential. The position also involves verifying all trips, repack, cigarettes, tobacco, VMC, circulars, etc., for accuracy and working collaboratively as a member of the AWG team to meet total job responsibilities. Actions must always emphasize cooperation, integrity, tact, and consideration towards members, associates, and management.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence relating to position.
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math and algebra.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Posses the ability to work with coworkers and gain mutual respect with a common goal of increasing sales and profitability.
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the ability to operate safely warehouse mobile equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse experience preferred
  • Warehouse mobile equipment operating experience preferred

  • Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met.
  • Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.
