About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part-time overnight Bellperson for the Banquet team at the Hilton Short Hills. The candidate must be able to work Thursday and Friday from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. The position involves assisting guests with luggage, explaining hotel facilities, maintaining the lobby and baggage areas, and providing courteous guest service. This is a unionized position.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 pounds through a crowded room continuously throughout the shift.
• Willingness to help coworkers with their job duties and work as part of a team.
• Availability to work Thursday and Friday from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Show guests to their rooms and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, their locations and hours of operation, and answer questions about the facilities and the hotel.
• Check and store luggage for hotel guests, both for day and overnight.
• Maintain the designated lobby station and remain alert and available to assist with guest arrivals.
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bellstand, lobby, and baggage room.
• Maintain open communication across shifts.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
