About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is hiring a temporary Bellperson for the Banquet team at the Hilton Short Hills, located across the street from The Mall at Short Hills. The role helps create a memorable guest experience by assisting guests with luggage, explaining hotel facilities, and providing courteous service. This is a unionized position with a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet appearance standards.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room continuously throughout the shift.
• Willingness to help coworkers with their duties and work as a team player.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Show guests to their rooms and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, their locations and hours of operation, and answer guests’ questions about the hotel.
• Check and store luggage for day and overnight guests.
• Maintain the designated lobby station and remain alert and available to respond to requests for assistance.
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bellstand, lobby, and baggage room.
• Maintain open communication across shifts.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
