About The Position

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is hiring a temporary Bellperson for the Hilton Short Hills. The Bellperson assists guests with luggage, escorts them to their rooms, explains hotel facilities and answers guest questions. The role also includes checking and storing luggage, maintaining a visible and attentive presence at the lobby station, greeting guests, and keeping the bellstand, lobby, and baggage room clean. This is a unionized position with a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room continuously throughout the shift.
• Willingness to help coworkers with their job duties and work as a team player.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Escort guests to their rooms and assist with their luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, their locations and hours of operation, and answer questions about the hotel.
• Check and store luggage for day and overnight guests.
• Maintain the designated lobby station and remain alert and available to assist guests.
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bellstand, lobby, and baggage room.
• Maintain an open communication line across shifts.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Help coworkers with their duties and contribute as a team player.
